Graduate Student
Liz McManus is a graduate student in the Rutgers-Princeton MD/PhD program. She is co-advised by Professor Liz Gavis and is interested in employing Cas13 to study RNA localization and posttranscriptional control during development, using Drosophila neurons as a model. She received her BS in biochemistry, cell and molecular biology from the University of Scranton. Previously, she studied the role of the general transcription factor TAF7 in translational regulation in Dinah Singer's lab at the National Institutes of Health. Outside of the lab, she enjoys hiking, baking gluten free desserts, and gardening.
