Postdoctoral Fellow
Dongxia Wang is a postdoctoral fellow in the Molecular Biology Department. She received her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry at Nankai University, advised by Deming Kong. Her Ph.D. research focused on designing functional DNA nanostructures for bioimaging and biosensing. She developed CRISPR/Cas12 sensors for detecting live-cell biomarkers and rapid point-of-care testing. As an exchange Ph.D. student, she studied in Jörg Enderlein’s lab at Georg-August University in Göttingen, Germany, where she utilized metal-induced energy transfer (MIET) technology to image cell membrane surface engineering and cell tension processes. Currently, Dongxia is interested in applying CRISPR/Cas13 imaging technology to study virus-host interactions. Outside the lab, she enjoys exploring new things and traveling.
